I walked up on Banker’s Hill
Where I rang some bells to pay my bills
I would cruise the Cliffs with my space blanket
Deliverin’ lunch for a shake and a tip

It was tough turnin’ tables with an apron on,
But I needed the dough, so I worked at Leon’s.

I rolled into that Market Square
I pushed papers at a desk down there
When I punched out for the final time,

Cause my best suitcase, yes the finest by far
Was the leatherbound hardshell that held my guitar
